I already think babies are a lot of work. Cute, though.

Thought I would share the current status of the baby's room.  So far, we've painted and replaced the ugly fake-milk-glass pendant light fixture with a ceiling fan; we also took down the 1960s-era drapes and purchased a curtain rod.  Now I'm just scanning the internet for a rug and something to go on the windows (oh yeah, and keeping an eye on Craigslist for cheap furniture, of course).

I also wanted to share a couple of very cute outfits.  Baby clothes are so fun.

Thanks, Jenny and Marty and Chuck and Georgette!

Hooray for insomnia - it's a great way to get things done.

Since I wasn't able to sleep last night, I started putting together a baby registry on Amazon.  I think I'm making pretty good guesses about what I'm going to need, but obviously, I don't know for sure.  Any suggestions?

Not suitable for work.

I really didn't want to put this online, but we've had a few requests for the "money shot."  So here he is.  Definitely boy.

Hmmm.

My waist finally disappeared today.  I find it kind of charming.

A few more pictures...

Oh yeah, these are from the 19-week ultrasound.  Almost halfway there.

An angle view:

And a side view:

It's a boy!

Not a great image, unfortunately; he was a bit smushed to the front yesterday when we had the ultrasound.  But here he is!  And he's definitely a boy (despite my mom's dreams to the contrary).

Assuming that we remember to post semi-regularly, the purpose of this blog is to keep y'all updated on the baby's progress.  Expect a few more ultrasound photos, and then maybe some pictures as we complete the nursery, some of my crazy weight-gain meals, a dog or cat picture just for fun...

Current thoughts on name:  Brady Matthew.  That may change, since I'm worried about Brady becoming one of those trendy names that you don't want to stick a kid with.  We have plenty of time to worry about that.
